Hello Kitty Birthday Card

Hello!  Another weekend of crafting!  I am feeling so bad that I forgot about my niece's birthday, so I knew I had to create something special and I really hope that she likes it!  I put together this Hello Kitty card that I created with an SVG that I found online and had for about 6 months and knew that I would use it someday!  Well that day has arrived!  Instead of the solid colors for the dress and bow I thought that I would use a print that I had in my stash.  Granted I have 2 boys and hardly ever create girl layouts and cards but I do have some pretty things as you never know when it is needed.

This card is about 9.5 inches tall and 8.25 inches wide-due to the whiskers and I don't have an envelope that big!  So I got out my MS score board and made my own-after watching on youtube how to do it.  It really isn't that hard!  I will probably put this envelope in a Manilla envelope as I don't want it to get ruined.

Let me know what you think and thanks for dropping by!

And here is the gigantic envelope that I made.  It looked so plain that I decided to bling it up!

Halloween Fever!!!!

Okay, so hopping along everyone's blog got me in the Halloween Fever!!!! I just had to do something Halloween even though it is more than a month away!!! I asked my son if he wanted to make Halloween cards and instantly he said sure and he wanted to do it himself!
Well, looking at the Happy Hauntings cartridge he really didn't like much except for the skelton and he cut it and put it all together by himself. This is a first guys as he thought all I do it scrapbook/layouts. He did a great job and made two of them. So we had to decide what to put with it and I tell you I had no Halloween paper (well four sheets) so I ran out to Michaels and Joanns and made some purchases. Then we cut out the tombstone for the card. Love the caption M.T. Tomb (empty tomb) at first my son didn't understand and to tell all of you I didn't either at first.
For the background of the card, I have to say that I scraplifted from Creating with Christina's youtube video for the Happy Hauntings card found herehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xd-BZbw2xU&feature=fvsr. Gee whiz I used to be able to highlight the word then add a link, don't know why it doesn't work anymore? Anyhoo, I liked her card so much that I made the witch from Happy Hauntings also.
I also made a cute favor box that Shery K Designs was sharing on her site which I made with Halloween paper instead of the printable that is offered with it. Here is the link: http://www.sherykdesigns-blog.com/2011/09/free-svg-printable-favors-gift-box.html?utm_source=http%3A%2F%2Fskhedrdesigns.blogspot.com%2Ffeeds%2Fposts%2Fdefault%3Falt%3Drss&utm_medium=SKhedr+Designsemail You know I really don't like all this linkage run ons! Someone please help me, I really don't like blogger anymore. This is the first time that I made a box and I have to say it wasn't too bad. But I really had no idea how to put it together at first.
Well, Happy Halloween everyone and thanks for stopping by!!!

Deja Views' Page Layout

I know it has been a while on the posting and been having a hard time adjusting to the boy's new school schedule, school bus, new after school care, and being sick for the past 2 weeks after returning home from vacationing in Colorado! I really loved going there for a first time and would recommend it to anyone. The weather is beautiful and the mountains are awesome to see! I just finished a layout of my oldest son when he was born. This will be the first page in his album and I wanted to make sure it was extra special. This is the first time that I used a layout sketch and I just can't seem to find it now. I hate it when that happens! Anyhoo, the paper is from a stack that I got at Joanns on clearance called The Sharon Ann little ones collection. It has all these vellum sheets and cardstock embellishments to go along with the paper and all I had to do is add some glossy accents, buttons and twine!
Really had a hard time leaving some blank space on the left side but hopefully all the embellishments on the right draws the eye to the picture. "Sprout" is the name that we use as an endearment nickname and at times I still call him that even though he is going on 12 years old next month. Thanks for dropping by and I promise to try to post more often!
Happy Scrapping!
