Hello Kitty Birthday Card

Hello!  Another weekend of crafting!  I am feeling so bad that I forgot about my niece's birthday, so I knew I had to create something special and I really hope that she likes it!  I put together this Hello Kitty card that I created with an SVG that I found online and had for about 6 months and knew that I would use it someday!  Well that day has arrived!  Instead of the solid colors for the dress and bow I thought that I would use a print that I had in my stash.  Granted I have 2 boys and hardly ever create girl layouts and cards but I do have some pretty things as you never know when it is needed.

This card is about 9.5 inches tall and 8.25 inches wide-due to the whiskers and I don't have an envelope that big!  So I got out my MS score board and made my own-after watching on youtube how to do it.  It really isn't that hard!  I will probably put this envelope in a Manilla envelope as I don't want it to get ruined.

Let me know what you think and thanks for dropping by!

And here is the gigantic envelope that I made.  It looked so plain that I decided to bling it up!

Happy Scrapping!

  1. What an adorable card set! I am sure your niece is going to love it and will forget all about your forgetting! *Hugs*

  2. Super cute! My niece loves Hello Kitty too. Would you mind sharing the link to the file with me? Her birthday is in November and I bet she would love it.

  3. You did an amazing job on this card! I know your niece will love it and feel pretty special!

  4. Terri-I downloaded the SVG in May and it doesn't have a folder with the file that identifies who created it. I have searched in Google and there are many Free Hello Kitty SVG files but I can't seem to find this one. If anyone can help claim this file I would be grateful!

    Hugs, Angela

  5. What a great job you have done on the card and the envelope. Did you put little beads on the bow? Nice touch.
I love to make my own envelopes now since I too have the MS score board. It is another wonderful tool to use.

  6. Hi Angela, cute Hello Kitty card; I'm sure your niece will love it! Thanks for stopping by my blog; no I didn't make the Beatles card. It's an American Greetings card from my sister!--Pat N.

  7. This is such a sweet card! Love the envie too.

  8. this is super cute, a sweet card for your niece...hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  9. Hi Angela! Thanks for the lovely comment on my blog :) What a cute card! I see you have a long list of blogs that you like to read - I know what you mean - it can be quite overwhelming - I've had to trim mine down a lot - the longer you blog the more you will be able to hone that down to those that really benefit you :)

Thanks for all your wonderful feedback!
